Two of Cheshire’s biggest summer events – the Royal Cheshire Show and the Nantwich Show – took on an extra dimension this year, with a number of the key exhibitors being clients of Cheshire-based Brand Communications Agency, Thrive Creative!
At the Cheshire Show in late June one of the main attractions was the ‘Cycling Village’, created specially to highlight the coming visit of the Tour of Britain cycle race in September. Thrive have already created the distinctive ‘Cheshire Tour of Britain’ identity and website, and used these concepts to add the cycling theme to Cheshire East’s marquee which became a one-stop-information-shop for the race with route boards and hand-outs providing extensive information, plus a chance to meet the official Tour artist and see his work.
The Cycling Village also featured other Thrive clients, which are sponsors for this historic sporting event. They included local energy providers Fairerpower, who had visitors creating art using a bike-powered paint gun, and Fresh school catering, who were handing out free flapjack to highlight the pro cyclists’ energy needs.
But Thrive’s involvement at the Cheshire Show didn’t end there; several clients also had stands attracting many visitors, from the Great North Pie Company’s award-winning artisan recipes to Transport Service Solutions (TSS) with some of their latest vehicles to estate agents and auctioneers Wright Marshall, who were previewing their new website (designed by Thrive, of course).
A month later, the Cycling Village re-appeared at the Nantwich Show, promoting the Tour of Britain once again and coinciding with Thrive’s launch of phase two of the Tour website, complete with interactive route map and the latest sponsorship opportunities.
Dave Powell, Managing Director at Thrive Creative said: “We were delighted to see so many of our clients at both these notable regional events, and to be involved in helping make the shows so memorable. It’s always nice to see our work in situ, and the next few months promise to be particularly exciting, with the Tour of Britain getting ever closer. We’ll be creating all sorts of new materials to help schools, local communities and businesses support the race, right up until the day itself.”
